February is one of my favorite winter months as daylight holds on just a little longer and the twilight hour with her deep reds and orange sunsets create diamonds in the snow. Walking during this magical hour of the day, one can simply forget the clattering of teeth from the chill in the crisp air. Kissed by the Snow Moon – was creating after one of these evening walks, taking in every detail of color and sounds of crunch snow under my feet the darkness sets in quickly once the sun goes down. Across the street I see the comforting Birch trees nestled together, their trunks white as snow; against the dark blue night sky it seems almost impossible that it will snow… and there in between the trunks of the long standing birch trees a sparkle appears, and then another… snow falls along the stars on this February eve and I cannot help but feel I have been Kissed… by the Snow moon. It is a gift .. one that I needed to share with you.
Let me know what you think of my birch trees so far, I have grown a sweet affection for them, especially after this magical winter walk.
By now we are well into Spring and the Snow Moon has gently moved on, but the trees stand tall.. awaiting the season of rebirth – one thing that does not change amongst the birches… they stand together friends forever.
Till we meet again,
Katerini
